Specialist interest

My specialist interest is about early life experience and attachment and how difficulties in this area can manifest themselves throughout our life cycle causing problems that pervade all our relationships. I have received advanced specialist training from Dr. Dan Hughes in working with children and their foster or adoptive parents called Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy. During this therapy a child with early life problems works with their parent/carer to improve and develop their relationship whilst coming to terms with some of the trauma that they have suffered.

I am one of the facilitators for Death Cafe and do voluntary work with cancer-sufferers and their families.

Gestalt therapy is about becoming more aware of how we are in the world, by seeing ourselves in relation to others.

Background

I am a UKCP registered and BACP listed Gestalt psychotherapist and counsellor. I work with individuals, couples, families, parents and their children both adult and young.
